Service

Regalzeile is a web service for recording and organising private media collections: titles, copies, shelves, places, loans, wishlist. There are three plan types:

  • Basic — free of charge, up to 200 titles, one member.
  • Plus — annual subscription, up to 1000 titles, up to two members, nightly backup.
  • Full — annual subscription, unlimited titles, several members, Discogs matching, nightly backup.

The provider may further develop the range of functions. If a feature of the Plus or Full plan is discontinued, this will be announced by e-mail at least 30 days in advance.

Conclusion of contract

The contract is concluded when you create an account and confirm your e-mail address via the link in the confirmation e-mail. By registering, you accept these terms. An account is personal; you may not pass it on. The provider may reject a registration without giving reasons. For public authorities and organisations with the Organisation account type, the terms of the individual contract with Ehrenreich AG apply; these terms of use apply in addition.

Prices and payment

The Plus and Full plans are billed as annual subscriptions through Stripe; Stripe handles invoicing and payment processing. The price is shown at purchase and includes statutory value-added tax where it applies. The subscription renews for one year at a time until it is cancelled. A price change is announced by e-mail at least 30 days before renewal; you can cancel until the renewal. You can switch from Plus to Full at any time via “Manage subscription”.

Termination

You can cancel the subscription at any time, effective at the end of the current term — via “Manage subscription” in the settings. Until then the Plus or Full plan remains. There is no refund for the term already begun. After the end the Basic plan applies again; titles above the Basic limit remain visible, and new ones can only be added again once you are below the limit.

Deletion

You can delete your library in the settings. The deletion becomes final after a period of 30 days; during that time the library is locked and can be restored by the owner. After that, data, covers and backups are permanently removed and a running subscription is cancelled. The provider may suspend or terminate an account if these terms are violated; if the provider terminates without fault on the part of the user, the unused part of the annual fee is refunded pro rata.

User obligations

  • Do not record content that infringes the rights of third parties or violates the law.
  • Do not query or replicate the service in an automated way (no bots, no mass queries of the interfaces).
  • Keep your credentials safe and report any misuse without delay.
  • Record personal data of third parties — such as the names of borrowers — only where this is permitted.

Availability

The provider strives for reliable operation but owes no particular availability. Maintenance windows and outages are possible; planned interruptions are announced where possible. External sources (Google Books, Open Library, German National Library, ISBNdb, MusicBrainz, Discogs) and Stripe are third-party services whose availability the provider does not guarantee.

Liability

The provider’s liability is limited to intent and gross negligence, to the extent permitted by law. For data loss the provider is not liable beyond the nightly backup; please also back up important data yourself. Liability for auxiliary persons is excluded to the extent permitted.

Privacy

Which data is processed for which purpose is set out in the Privacy policy. It forms part of these terms.

Changes to these terms

The provider may change these terms. Changes are announced by e-mail at least 30 days before they take effect. If you do not object before they take effect, or keep using the service afterwards, the new terms apply. If you object, the contract ends when the changes would take effect; an annual fee paid in advance is refunded pro rata.

Governing law and jurisdiction

Swiss law applies, excluding its conflict-of-laws rules. The exclusive place of jurisdiction is Zurich, Switzerland, unless mandatory provisions provide otherwise.
